Gun Mattsson was born in Stockholm. She studied  art and philosophy at the University of Stockholm. This combination has had a great influence on her paintings. An effort to investigate what connections could be between people - their thoughts and beliefs - the world as a whole, and different historical times.

Studies: Two Bachelor of Arts: a) Art, Culture b) Philosophy, Political science.

She has participated in exhibitions at galleries and museums in Sweden, Argentina, Canada, the USA, Israel, Spain, France, England, Bulgaria, Italy & Greece.
